We work well with others

Since Opening

We have established effective partnership working with a range of partners and currently have 75 plus active relationships as a charity and community hub, forming a strong network. The Pelham is a central place for individuals and community groups to come together as an outreach location, which leads to effective signposting and connections. During the week we have different agencies drop in. Job Centre Plus run an outreach and Christians Against Poverty (CAP) host a debt counselling drop-in, creating an effective pathway. This shows productive, successful & longstanding partnerships.

Who we work with

Partnership

The Pelham has been the grateful recipient of over £450,000 from 20+ funders since launching as a charity! We work closely with our funders to keep them updated with the successes and impact of funds invested into life at The Pelham

Community Engagement

Since 2018, with the funding investment and support, footfall and community engagement has more than doubled. This represents significant impact the charity is contributing to the community, with a diverse range of activities, opportunities and initiatives.

“The Pelham is a warm friendly, inclusive environment where all from the Local Community are welcomed by a friendly face. Oh and did I say they make a cracking cup of coffee and great food”
Phil | Coffee Lounge Regular and local group organiser

Influencing Change in our Community

Following a 2-year health & wellbeing project with the local Hastings & Rother Clinical Commissioning Group, we’ve been involved with inspiring a new way of working in non-clinical health care settings. We also represent the community as part of local Community Safety forums and district-wide discussions. Our achievements have also been recognised through our RunningSpace project, where Jacky Youldon won the South East Unsung Hero award as part of the BBC’s Sports Personality of the Year Awards 2019.
